IMCTC Secretary-General Major General Al-Moghedi Hosts Azerbaijan's Defence Minister For Strategic Discussions
Major General Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), welcomed Colonel General Karim Valiyev, Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff, in Riyadh. The meeting focused on IMCTC's mission and its four main areas: intellectual, media, combating terrorism financing, and military operations.
Colonel General Valiyev received insights into how member states collaborate to combat terrorism through a unified approach. He praised the coalition's significant contributions to building capacities and enhancing cooperation among member states. He also acknowledged Saudi Arabia's crucial role in establishing and leading the coalition.

The IMCTC is committed to expanding partnerships with member states to support its strategic objectives against terrorism. Major General Al-Moghedi highlighted the coalition's dedication to strengthening these alliances. He expressed hope for Azerbaijan to join as a member, which would enhance international expertise exchange and unify efforts against extremism.
Valiyev commended Saudi Arabia for its leadership in promoting regional and international security and stability. He appreciated the IMCTC's initiatives aimed at correcting misconceptions and countering hate speech. These efforts are vital in fostering a peaceful environment globally.
