IMCTC Secretary-General And Côte D'Ivoire's Chief Of Staff Discuss Enhanced Counterterrorism Cooperation
Gen. Lassina Doumbia, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Côte d'Ivoire, welcomed Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi, Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), and his delegation. The meeting focused on strengthening military and security cooperation to combat terrorism effectively.
Al-Moghedi emphasised IMCTC's significant role in aiding member states by enhancing their capabilities against terrorism and extremism. He mentioned that the coalition is planning to introduce strategic initiatives in Côte d'Ivoire, such as training programs, specialised courses, and technical support to tackle terrorism and its funding.

The coalition aims to launch a series of initiatives in Côte d'Ivoire. These include specialised training programs targeting terrorism financing under a strategy-building initiative. This effort seeks to improve the capacity of security and military agencies in addressing terrorist threats and associated challenges.
Doumbia highlighted the coalition's crucial role in supporting member states through technical assistance, training, and enhancing military and security capabilities. He noted that Côte d'Ivoire is eager to strengthen its collaboration with the coalition to address regional terrorist threats effectively.
Al-Moghedi stressed IMCTC's commitment to forming robust partnerships with member states, international bodies, and regional organisations. The goal is to develop comprehensive solutions for countering terrorism sustainably. The coalition employs an integrated approach covering ideological, media, financial, and military aspects.
