IGCF 2025 To Host 237 International Speakers Across 110 Events Focused On Quality Of Life
The International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) is returning for its 14th edition. Scheduled for September 10 and 11 at Expo Centre Sharjah, it will feature 237 international speakers, including government leaders, experts, academics, and innovators. The theme "Communication for Quality of Life" highlights the importance of communication in improving human wellbeing and development policies.
Over two days, the forum will host more than 110 events. These include panel discussions, keynote speeches, and workshops. The focus is on how communication can transform development visions into reality, build public trust in governments, and encourage community involvement in decision-making processes.

This year's IGCF will address urgent global issues impacting quality of life. Topics include food security, public health, education, environmental sustainability, and the green economy. These priorities reflect the forum's vision of using communication to build trust between governments and communities.
Tariq Saeed Allay, Director General of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, stated: "IGCF is founded on the belief that communication is a core tool for addressing global challenges, especially in an age where climate change, health, poverty, hunger, education, and sustainability are increasingly interconnected."
The event will feature seven keynote talks by global leaders and decision-makers. Additionally, there will be 22 applied workshops allowing direct interaction between participants and experts. This setup aims to foster meaningful engagement and innovative responses to shared challenges.
The forum will also include 51 panel discussions covering various topics such as food security, public health, education, the green economy, and sustainability. These discussions aim to explore how communication can serve as a strategic tool in managing global transformations.
Strategic Partnerships
This year’s IGCF will welcome 30 strategic partners from local to international entities. These partners include government bodies, international organisations, research centres, and leading technology and media companies. Their involvement aims to enhance dialogue and collaborative initiatives that improve quality of life.
Tariq Saeed Allay further added: "The presence of a diverse group of leaders and experts in Sharjah underscores the emirate’s commitment to development and humanitarian causes." He emphasised that transparent communication is fundamental for building trust and fostering partnerships for a sustainable future.
Awards for Excellence
The event will conclude by honouring winners of the Sharjah Government Communication Award. This award recognises excellence and innovation in government communication worldwide. It highlights IGCF's role as a platform for launching innovative ideas and sharing expertise globally.
The forum's agenda underscores its commitment to addressing interconnected global challenges through effective communication strategies. By focusing on key areas like innovation and technology as drivers for future policies prioritising quality of life, IGCF aims to shape a balanced future.
