IDEX And NAVDEX 2025 Launches In Abu Dhabi With Record Participation And New Innovations

The International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025 have begun at the ADNEC Centre under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Organised by ADNEC Group with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, these exhibitions will run until 21st February. They aim to showcase cutting-edge technologies in defence, promoting global peace and security.

This year's IDEX and NAVDEX have seen a notable increase in participation, with 1,565 companies from 65 countries involved. This marks a 16 percent rise compared to previous editions. The exhibition space has expanded by 10 percent to cover 181,501 square metres, accommodating 731 new companies, an impressive 82 percent increase.

IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 Begins in Abu Dhabi

Seven new countries are participating this year: Qatar, Ethiopia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Cyprus. A new exhibition hall, Hall 14, has been introduced opposite the grandstand. It features 341 exhibiting companies. Additionally, a dedicated CBRNE platform is present with contributions from 38 companies across 13 countries to address chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats.

The exhibitions feature 41 national pavilions. National companies account for 213 exhibitors or 16 percent of the total. Meanwhile, international firms make up the remaining 84 percent. This diverse representation highlights the global interest in defence advancements showcased at IDEX and NAVDEX.

More than 3,300 products and technologies are on display at this year's event. These exhibitions play a crucial role in supporting the defence industry while boosting the competitiveness of UAE-based companies both regionally and internationally. The presence of over 156 start-ups further underscores their significance in fostering innovation within the sector.

This edition's focus on technological advancements demonstrates IDEX and NAVDEX's commitment to enhancing international collaboration in defence. By bringing together leading experts and companies from around the world, these exhibitions provide a platform for sharing knowledge and exploring new solutions for global security challenges.
