IDEX And NAVDEX 2025 Achieve AED 25.15 Billion In Total Defence Deals

The Tawazun Council has finalised 15 agreements worth AED1.43 billion with both local and international firms. This brings the total number of deals during the five-day event to 55, valued at AED25.15 billion, reflecting a 10% increase from the previous year. The contracts were announced during a press conference attended by Majed Ahmed Al Jabri, Mohamed Saif Al Zaabi, and Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri.

On the first day of the exhibition, contracts worth AED3.97 billion were signed, followed by AED5.80 billion on the second day. The third day saw deals amounting to AED10.18 billion, while the fourth day concluded with agreements totalling AED3.77 billion. These figures highlight the significant financial commitments made throughout the event.

IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 Total AED 25.15 Billion

Mahra Bilal Al Dhaheri disclosed that on the final day, 11 local contracts were secured for AED766.3 million. Among these were three agreements with "International Golden Group": purchasing ammunition for AED145.3 million, renewing licenses for an Electronic Medical File System infrastructure at AED180 million, and acquiring military uniforms and equipment for AED136.8 million.

Other notable local contracts included "Al Jaber Land Systems" providing support services and spare parts for trailers valued at AED28 million, and "Itqan AL Khaleej Computers" enhancing infrastructure for the Ministry of Defense's "Sheryan" system at AED74.1 million. Additionally, "Al Taif" was contracted for air defence system maintenance services worth AED29 million.

Mohamed Saif Al Zaabi noted that international deals on the fifth day amounted to four contracts worth AED661.6 million. A significant agreement was made with US-based "Lockheed Martin" for new Sidewinder missiles alignment valued at AED429.4 million. Another contract with US-based "INSITU" involved drone systems maintenance services worth AED55.1 million.

The international deals also included an agreement with France's "Safran Helicopter Engines" for technical support and spare parts supply for aircraft engines valued at AED23.6 million, alongside a contract with South Africa’s "GEW Technologies" to purchase a wireless jamming system worth AED153.5 million.

Al Jabri further remarked on Tawazun’s commitment to achieving its objectives through strategies aligned with best procurement practices in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence, supporting UAE’s vision of a forward-looking defence sector.
