IACAD Processes More Than 13,500 Service Requests In First Quarter Of 2025

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD) processed over 13,500 service requests in the first quarter of 2025. This reflects IACAD's dedication to enhancing its religious and community role by providing high-quality services that cater to both individuals and institutions across Dubai.

The Personal Fatwa Service was the most sought-after, with the Ifta Department issuing 3,259 Sharia-based fatwas. This indicates the public's trust in IACAD as a reliable source for religious guidance. The demand underscores the community's need for accurate advice from approved authorities.

IACAD Receives Over 13,500 Service Requests

In Islamic outreach, the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture issued 2,267 conversion certificates to Islam. This effort highlights ongoing initiatives to introduce Islam and its values to new audiences. The centre plays a crucial role in promoting understanding and acceptance of Islamic teachings.

Charitable Initiatives During Ramadan

During Ramadan, IACAD received 3,241 requests related to initiatives like iftar tents and meal distributions. This strong community involvement during the holy month showcases the vibrant charitable sector. Additionally, the Charitable Institutions Department managed 541 services for organizing events, emphasizing this sector's vitality.

Guidance and Preaching Services

The department handled 258 requests for muftis, lecturers, or preachers and organized 297 new Islamic events through its Religious Education and Islamic Institutions divisions. These activities indicate active public participation in IACAD’s educational programs aimed at spreading awareness.

Mosque Services and Infrastructure Development

In mosque services, there were 634 requests for Qibla direction determination, 63 in-kind donation requests for mosques, and 22 applications for land allocation to build new mosques. These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to strengthen religious infrastructure across Dubai.

Growth in Islamic Institution Services

For Islamic institution services, IACAD issued 11 new licences, renewed 22 licences, and processed 10 staff appointment requests. This steady growth reflects an expanding sector that supports religious activities throughout the emirate.

Mohammed Jassim Al Mansouri, Director of Customer Happiness Department, stated that these figures demonstrate IACAD's commitment to delivering comprehensive services efficiently. He noted their efforts to promptly address customer needs while developing digital and on-ground services aligned with public expectations.

Al Mansouri also highlighted IACAD’s continuous expansion of outreach efforts across all societal segments. Their vision is to lead religious, charitable, and cultural initiatives throughout Dubai.
