IACAD Donates AED 1 Million To Honour Mothers With Education Fund
The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has pledged AED 1 million to the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This campaign aims to establish a AED 1 billion endowment fund dedicated to supporting global education sustainably. The announcement aligns with the holy month of Ramadan, underscoring the campaign's commitment to honouring mothers and their crucial role in nurturing future generations through education.
This significant contribution by IACAD is intended as a continuous charity in honour of its employees' mothers and those who contribute to its initiatives, resonating with the campaign's objectives of celebrating motherhood and promoting values such as kindness, compassion, and solidarity. Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Director-General of IACAD, highlighted the initiative as a testament to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's tradition of launching inspiring humanitarian projects during Ramadan. He emphasized that supporting this campaign is a profound way to appreciate mothers' contributions to their families and society.

By participating in the Mothers’ Endowment campaign, IACAD not only aims to express gratitude towards mothers but also to foster a sense of unity and compassion within its community. The campaign is part of the broader Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, which seeks to leverage the culture of endowments as a tool for sustainable development and humanitarian aid.
The Mothers’ Endowment campaign is open for donations from both institutions and individuals through various channels. Contributions can be made through the campaign’s official website (Mothersfund.ae), a dedicated call centre via toll-free number (800 9999), bank transfers in UAE dirham to Emirates Islamic Bank (AE790340003708472909201), and SMS donations for Etisalat by e& users by sending "Mother" to numbers (1034, 1035, 1036, 1038). Additionally, donations can be made through the DubaiNow app under the "Donations" tab and Dubai’s community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).
This initiative not only aims to revive the culture of endowments but also highlights the UAE's role in humanitarian efforts globally. By dedicating its proceeds to education and training, the Mothers’ Endowment campaign seeks to make a lasting impact on millions of lives around the world in partnership with various humanitarian organisations.
