IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit 2025 Begins In Riyadh, Highlighting Entertainment Innovations

The IAAPA Middle East Trade Summit 2025 commenced at the Mohammed Al-Ali Theater in Boulevard Riyadh City. This marks the second time the summit is being held in Saudi Arabia. Organised by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) alongside Riyadh Season, it sees participation from key figures in the entertainment industry and international experts.

General Entertainment Authority's Executive Vice President for Investment and Business Development, Mohannad Al-Abbad, delivered an opening speech. He highlighted Saudi Arabia's prominent role in the entertainment sector and its capability to host global events. Al-Abbad noted that the summit provides a unique platform for exchanging ideas and showcasing innovations that drive economic growth and creativity.

Al-Abbad expressed pride in Riyadh Season's support for the summit, underscoring its commitment to fostering creativity and attracting global expertise. The first day included panel discussions focusing on investment opportunities within Saudi Arabia's entertainment sector. Experts pointed out that Saudi Vision 2030 and major projects have positioned the country as a significant player in global industry development. The discussions highlighted how these initiatives are transforming Saudi Arabia into a hub for entertainment innovation.

An exhibition runs alongside the summit, featuring cutting-edge technologies in entertainment. Approximately 60 companies from around the world are participating, presenting advanced solutions such as amusement rides, interactive experiences, and digital technologies. This exhibition highlights the latest advancements contributing to sector growth.

IAAPA chief executive Jakob Wahl praised Saudi Arabia's progress in developing its entertainment sector. He expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Riyadh Season and GEA to host this international event. Wahl acknowledged the country's strides towards becoming a leader in entertainment innovation.

Al-Abbad also stressed his aim to enhance partnerships, explore new opportunities, and introduce innovative visions for sector development. He emphasized that collaboration among stakeholders is crucial for sustained success. By integrating efforts, stakeholders can ensure continued growth and advancement within the industry.
