Hub71 Impact Event Unveils New Programmes To Propel Abu Dhabi’s Innovation Landscape
Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s tech ecosystem, introduced new collaborations and initiatives at its Impact Event 2025. The event, themed "Impactful Momentum," highlighted partnerships across government, venture capital, and entrepreneurship. This reflects Abu Dhabi's aim to be a leading startup ecosystem globally. Hub71 launched Initiate, a programme to help early-stage founders turn bold ideas into viable products.
Initiate is run with global venture builders SC Ventures and VentureOne. It offers practical venture-building expertise to validate ideas and structure business models. This prepares founders for scaling up. The programme provides essential support before startups secure seed investment, making Abu Dhabi a unique hub offering a complete path from idea to market-ready startup.

Hub71 expanded its Hub71+ AI ecosystem by adding 15 strategic partners to its network of 24 investors and entities. This includes Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) and BECO Capital as anchor partners. The growth supports Abu Dhabi’s goal of becoming the world’s first AI-native government by 2027. This expanding AI ecosystem strengthens Abu Dhabi’s role as a global testbed for responsible AI innovation.
During the event, Hub71 announced strategic partnerships with key Abu Dhabi institutions to boost economic diversification. These partnerships broaden access to pilots, capital, and entrepreneurial support. An agreement with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) integrates the Anjal Z initiative into Hub71’s Access Programme.
The ECA partnership secures five seats in Cohort 19 and AED3 million in pilot funding for startups developing early-childhood solutions. These startups benefit from Hub71's comprehensive support package, including up to AED500,000 in incentives and access to the Hub71 network and Abu Dhabi market. This positions them to seize commercial opportunities and scale rapidly from the UAE capital.
In collaboration with Numou, an ADGM subsidiary, startups gain easier access to working capital through the Procurement Financing initiative. This initiative is designed to enhance liquidity and accelerate SME growth. Together, these partnerships reinforce Hub71’s role as a catalyst for collaboration among entrepreneurs, institutions, and investors.
International Outreach
Ahmad Ali Alwan, CEO of Hub71, stated that "Abu Dhabi’s tech ecosystem continues to be shaped by a shared purpose of driving impact through innovation and collaboration." He noted that recent launches reflect progress in expanding opportunities for founders and entrepreneurs while strengthening Abu Dhabi's platform for technology growth.
Further emphasizing its international focus, Hub71 welcomed eight leading Web3 startups from Hong Kong through its Immersion Programmes. During the Impact Event, these high-potential startups joined the ecosystem via the Hub71 x Hong Kong Immersion Programme. This reinforces Abu Dhabi’s position as a gateway for international startups entering the Middle East.
The event showcased how far Hub71 has come in fostering innovation and ensuring long-term growth in technology sectors. By connecting entrepreneurs with institutions and investors at every stage of growth, Hub71 continues to drive innovation across various fields.
