HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman And Lebanese President Joseph Aoun Discuss Latest Developments In Lebanon And The Region

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hosted President Joseph Aoun of Lebanon at Al-Yamamah Palace on Monday. An official reception was organised to honour the Lebanese President. During their meeting, HRH the Crown Prince extended a warm welcome to President Aoun and his delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom.

The discussions between HRH the Crown Prince and President Aoun covered recent developments in Lebanon and the broader region. Both leaders exchanged views on ongoing efforts to address these issues. They also explored ways to strengthen the relationship between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, focusing on enhancing cooperation in various areas.

President Aoun expressed his gratitude for the hospitality he received during his visit. He appreciated the warm reception extended to him and his delegation by HRH the Crown Prince and other Saudi officials. The talks highlighted mutual interests and potential areas for collaboration between both nations.

The reception was attended by several prominent Saudi officials. Among them were Minister of State and Cabinet Member Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Sport Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal. Their presence underscored the importance of this diplomatic engagement.

Other notable attendees included Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz. These officials played a crucial role in facilitating discussions aimed at fostering stronger ties between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

Strengthening Bilateral Relations

The meeting also saw participation from Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, who contributed to discussions on enhancing diplomatic relations. Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Adviser, was present as well, highlighting security cooperation as a key area of focus.

Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi joined the talks to explore economic collaboration opportunities between both countries. Additionally, Advisor to the Foreign Minister for Lebanese Affairs Prince Yazid bin Mohammed bin Fahd Al-Farhan attended alongside Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid bin Abdullah Bukhari.

The visit by President Aoun signifies an important step in strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
