HRH Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman And French President Macron Sign MoU For Strategic Partnership Council

On Monday evening, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh. An official ceremony marked the occasion. The Crown Prince expressed his hope for a pleasant stay for President Macron and his delegation. In response, President Macron thanked the Crown Prince for the warm hospitality extended to him and his team.

The meeting between the two leaders focused on strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and France. They explored ways to enhance cooperation in various sectors and discussed investment opportunities that could benefit both nations. Regional and international developments were also on their agenda, along with issues of mutual concern.

Crown Prince and Macron Sign Strategic MoU

Following their discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed to establish a Strategic Partnership Council between Saudi Arabia and France. This agreement was formalised by Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noël Barrot.

The meeting saw participation from several high-ranking officials from both countries. From Saudi Arabia, attendees included Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Minister of State Prince Turki bin Mohammed, and Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman. Other notable figures included Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki, Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, and Public Investment Fund Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan.

The French delegation comprised key officials such as Minister for Europe Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, and Minister of Armed Forces Sébastien Lecornu. Also present were Agnès Pannier-Runacher, responsible for ecological transition, energy, climate, and risk prevention; Antoine Armand from economy and finance; and Ambassador Patrick Maisonnave.

This high-level meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen their bilateral relations. By focusing on shared interests and collaborative efforts, Saudi Arabia and France aim to foster stronger ties that will benefit both countries in various domains.
