HQA Hosts Esteemed European Researchers To Discuss Quranic Studies And Arabic Language Preservation

The Holy Quran Academy (HQA) recently welcomed distinguished guests of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. These visitors were part of the second Sharjah International Conference on Arabic Language Studies in Europe (SICALSE). They explored the Academy's significant contributions to Quranic studies, the global Sharjah e-Quran platform, and Quranic museums.

These initiatives aim to enhance understanding of the Quran and its sciences while preserving the Arabic language. This effort strengthens Sharjah's cultural and civilizational reputation. The Academy's Secretary-General, Abdullah Khalaf Al Hosani, along with department directors, warmly welcomed 23 researchers and scholars from 13 European countries.

HQA Welcomes European Researchers for Dialogue

Al Hosani highlighted the importance of such visits. He stated that they aim to showcase the Academy's impactful scientific projects. These projects play a crucial role in promoting knowledge, culture, and humanity by advancing understanding of the Quran and its sciences. He expressed a desire to share experiences and collaborate with researchers for mutual benefit.

During their visit, Al Hosani guided the scholars through various aspects of the Academy. He provided detailed explanations about its priorities, which include teaching and spreading the Arabic language through projects like the Encyclopedia of Rhetorical Interpretation and specialised reading methods.

The Quranic museums offered guests insights into the history of the written Quran. They explored rare manuscripts and learned about the science of readings. This experience left a strong impression on visitors, who recognised it as a significant cultural landmark within global human knowledge heritage.

The guests appreciated this intellectual hub for its contributions to preserving cultural heritage. They acknowledged its role in enhancing understanding of both the Quran and Arabic language studies worldwide.
