In the Aseer region, the Muhayil festival is drawing crowds with its horseback riding and target sports. Situated in Muhayil governorate, 80 kilometers from Abha, the festival combines entertainment, sports, and shopping. Salma Mohammed, a horse riding instructor, shared with the Saudi Press Agency that these activities are part of the Muhayil Aseer winter program and have captivated many visitors, especially children.

Mohammed and her team offer guidance on horse handling and provide supervised rides. They also teach archery and air rifle shooting. "My lifelong passion for horses and training courses led me to become a qualified instructor for children," she stated. Bandar Al Hilali, who owns the festival's horse stable, emphasized their goal to highlight the importance of horses while enabling people to learn basic horseback riding and target shooting skills under certified trainers.

The horseback riding lessons concentrate on balance, rein control, calming techniques, and track navigation. These skills are essential for beginners to gain confidence in handling horses. The instructors ensure that participants understand these fundamentals before progressing to more advanced techniques.

Archery sessions teach proper shooting techniques and culminate in friendly competitions among participants. Air rifle training covers basic marksmanship principles. These activities not only provide fun but also help develop focus and precision among learners.
