Completion Of Holy Quran Recitation At Prophet’s Mosque Ushers In Night Of Spirituality
Yesterday, the Prophet’s Mosque was enveloped in an atmosphere of tranquility, peace, and security as the Holy Quran recitation was completed during the Tarawih Prayer on the 29th night of Ramadan. This significant spiritual milestone attracted worshippers who filled the corridors, yards, roof, and expansion sections of the mosque, with lines extending to nearby roads and areas. Sheikh Salah Al-Budair, the imam of the Prophet's Mosque, led the prayers, invoking forgiveness for Muslims on this blessed night.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque worked in coordination with various agencies to ensure that the mosque was fully prepared for this event. This included implementing all necessary arrangements to maintain the safety and comfort of visitors, in line with the Kingdom’s leadership directives to provide comprehensive services to both the mosque and its visitors.

To manage the entry and exit of worshippers and visitors smoothly, a total of 60 corridors were opened. This included 38 main corridors, 14 subsidiary corridors, and 8 emergency corridors. Additionally, there were 38 entrances from parking lots for cars, 18 regular stairs, and 12 electric escalators made available. Special attention was also given to preparing corridors leading to stairs 15 and 27.
The authority's efforts extended to managing crowd movement according to a pre-established plan. This included providing Zamzam water containers and sterilizing the Prophet’s Mosque, its roof, and courtyards with a substantial amount of disinfectant—70,000 liters to be precise. Furthermore, an additional 85,000 liters of disinfectant were used in these efforts. To accommodate elderly attendees, 40,000 chairs were provided.
This meticulous organization reflects the Kingdom's commitment to ensuring that worshippers can perform their religious duties in a safe and serene environment. The successful completion of the Holy Quran recitation during Tarawih Prayer on such a significant night in Ramadan underscores the spiritual importance of this event for Muslims around the world.
