Hira Winter Events In Makkah Draw Over 84,000 Visitors With Cultural Highlights
The Hira Winter events in Makkah, organised by the Hira Cultural District, recently concluded with over 84,000 visitors. A key attraction was the Revelation Exhibition, which creatively combined tradition and modern technology to depict the revelation to Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). This exhibition featured a pavilion detailing the history of the Cave of Hira and Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (may Allah be pleased with her), along with a realistic portrayal of the first revelation moment.
Visitors were treated to rare historical artifacts, including a photographed copy of Uthman ibn Affan's Quran manuscript (may Allah be pleased with him) and ancient stone inscriptions of Quranic verses. These exhibits offered an extraordinary blend of past essence with present creativity. Additionally, poetic performances inspired by authentic Arab heritage were showcased, highlighting poetry's role as a cultural repository for Arabs and its use in documenting events and emotions.

The Caravan Experience was another notable feature, reviving the cultural heritage of camel caravans. It showcased their crucial role in ancient Arab economic and social life. This event recreated scenes from major trade journeys where camels were vital for transporting goods and facilitating travel between regions. Visitors were transported back to memories of ancient trade routes that once served as lifelines for communities.
The Challenge Zone attracted adventure enthusiasts with games combining entertainment and competition. Meanwhile, the Winter Theater delighted audiences with interactive performances, contests, and games inspired by winter traditions. These activities provided a fun-filled experience in a unique winter atmosphere.
Alongside these cultural and entertainment events, the Crafts and Heritage Industries Market offered visitors a comprehensive experience. They explored local products, purchased souvenirs, and enjoyed traditional and contemporary food and beverages. This made their visit an all-encompassing blend of entertainment, culture, and shopping.
