IDEX And NAVDEX 2025 Committee Discusses Preparations For Major Defence Event In Abu Dhabi
The Higher Organising Committee for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 recently convened to plan the 17th edition of the event. Scheduled from 17th to 21st February 2025 at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi, it will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
The Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with ADNEC Group, is organising these exhibitions and the International Defence Conference. The meeting aimed to ensure an outstanding edition with significant global participation. Senior government leaders and officials, along with major defence companies worldwide, are expected to attend.

Staff Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei chaired the meeting. Key attendees included Major General Dr. Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri. Several subcommittee chairpersons and representatives from national institutions also participated.
The 2023 edition of IDEX and NAVDEX achieved remarkable results. Deals worth AED 23.34 billion were signed, involving 1,353 exhibitors from 65 countries, including 216 national companies. The event attracted 367 official delegations globally.
IDEX and NAVDEX have established themselves as premier platforms for showcasing cutting-edge defence technologies. They facilitate strategic partnerships that bolster the defence sector's growth both nationally and internationally.
Exhibition Highlights
In 2023, over 132,000 visitors attended the exhibitions, while the International Defence Conference hosted 1,800 participants. These events serve as a strategic platform for presenting innovations in defence and security industries.
The upcoming IDEX and NAVDEX aim to continue this legacy by enhancing their role as leading global forums for defence technology exhibition and partnership building. This effort supports both national and international defence sector development.
