Health System Provides Over 40,000 Services To Ensure Safety Of Umrah Performers During Ramadan

During the holy month of Ramadan, the health system has been actively supporting Umrah performers by delivering over 40,000 health services in the first half of the month. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure the well-being and safety of those participating in Umrah, enhancing their spiritual journey with a secure healthcare environment.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that these efforts are aligned with the objectives set by Saudi Vision 2030. The focus is on providing high-quality healthcare services to Hajj and Umrah participants, including specialized medical care during these religious seasons. Hospitals have admitted more than 1,900 patients and managed over 28,000 emergency cases.

Over 40,000 Health Services for Umrah Performers

Primary healthcare services were extended to over 3,000 individuals performing Umrah. Additionally, more than 200 surgeries were conducted, which included 80 cardiac catheterizations and over 1,600 dialysis sessions. These statistics underscore the preparedness of medical teams to address various healthcare needs efficiently.

Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel has been proactive in ensuring readiness for Umrah performers. Over the past two months, he visited Makkah and Madinah to evaluate healthcare facilities and equipment. His inspections emphasized maintaining high-quality medical services for the comfort and safety of visitors.

The health system's integrated efforts also involved strengthening coordination between public and private sectors. This collaboration led to notable improvements in response times around key areas like the Grand Mosque and Prophet's Mosque. The aim was to deliver efficient healthcare services with maximum effectiveness.

Emergency Response Enhancements

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority teams have been crucial in managing emergency situations. They provided first aid and transported critical cases following top emergency response standards. Their role was vital in ensuring immediate care for those in need during this busy period.

The Ministry continues its supervisory role by boosting hospital readiness and enhancing emergency teams. It also focuses on integrating advanced technologies to maintain high-quality healthcare services while improving response times for Umrah performers throughout Ramadan.

The ongoing initiatives reflect a commitment to offering comprehensive medical support during significant religious events. By prioritizing health sector transformation under Saudi Vision 2030, these efforts aim to enrich the pilgrim experience through exceptional healthcare provision.
