Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel Grants Premium Residency To 2,645 Healthcare Professionals In Saudi Arabia
Health Minister Fahad Al-Jalajel has revealed that 2,645 outstanding healthcare experts from 56 nations have been granted Premium Residency, also known as Special Talent Residency. These professionals represent 152 key healthcare specialisations, including doctors and other practitioners. This initiative is a significant advancement for Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector.
The announcement was made during the Global Health Exhibition held in Riyadh from October 21 to 23. Al-Jalajel highlighted that this move aligns with previous efforts to transform healthcare by attracting and retaining top-tier professionals. These experts are vital for transferring knowledge and global expertise, which will help build a robust national healthcare workforce.

This step is part of the current phase focused on promoting human health, enhancing prevention measures, and improving quality of life. It aligns with the objectives of the Health Sector Transformation Program, a crucial element of Saudi Vision 2030. The minister expressed gratitude to citizens and residents in healthcare for their contributions to advancing the sector and providing high-quality services.
The Premium Residency Center offers seven residency options: Special Talent Residency, Gifted Residency, Investor Residency, Entrepreneur Residency, Real Estate Owner Residency, Limited Duration Residency, and Unlimited Duration Residency. These options provide numerous benefits to holders.
Holders of these residencies can live in Saudi Arabia with their families, own property, host relatives, conduct business activities, and travel to and from the Kingdom without needing a visa. They can also benefit from partnerships with government entities.
Al-Jalajel's announcement marks a pivotal moment for Saudi Arabia's healthcare sector by integrating international expertise into its workforce.
