SDAIA's Health Datathon 2025 Aims To Enhance Quality Of Life Through Data Science And AI
The Dal Association for Data Science and AI, in partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), the Ministry of Health, and the Misk Foundation, is hosting the Health Datathon. This initiative aims to use data and artificial intelligence to boost life quality and extend healthy lifespans through innovative health projects.
The datathon has two main tracks. The first track targets reducing early mortality by predicting vulnerable groups and examining preventable causes, including maternal health issues. The second track focuses on extending healthy lifespans using data science and biotechnology by creating indicators related to nutrition and organ efficiency.

Participants will benefit from expert guidance provided by professionals from the Ministry of Health, the Dal Association, and SDAIA. They will also have access to real health data to develop practical solutions. This support aims to enhance their ability to create impactful projects that address key health challenges.
The Health Datathon 2025 spans six weeks, starting with registration and ending with a closing ceremony. It consists of three stages: idea generation, model building and project development, and a final showcase at the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh. The idea generation phase ended on October 14, followed by model building from October 15 to 25. The final stage runs from October 27 to 30.
This event seeks to identify at-risk groups, support early intervention strategies, analyze causes of preventable deaths, and increase community awareness about healthy living practices. By doing so, it aims to improve health expenditure efficiency while promoting healthier lifestyles among the population.
Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030
The Health Datathon supports digital transformation in healthcare by leveraging data for better service quality and enhanced prevention measures. This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives of fostering a vibrant society and a prosperous economy through innovation and knowledge sharing.
By focusing on these goals, the datathon contributes to creating a healthier society while encouraging economic growth through technological advancements in healthcare.
