Hazza Bin Zayed Reviews Major Development Projects At Al Ain City Municipality Visit
H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region, recently visited Al Ain City Municipality's headquarters. During the visit, he was briefed on significant development projects underway across various sectors in the region. These initiatives aim to enhance infrastructure and improve public facilities, contributing to the area's growth and quality of life.
Sheikh Hazza received updates on several key projects, including the Al Rawdha Square project. This initiative focuses on strengthening infrastructure and enhancing public amenities. Additionally, the Oasis Projects were highlighted for their role in preserving the region's natural and historic agricultural heritage, ensuring its appeal as a tourism and cultural destination.
The visit also covered plans to develop old neighbourhoods in Al Ain Region. These efforts aim to preserve the area's heritage identity while improving residents' quality of life by providing modern services that meet community needs. The balance between maintaining cultural heritage and upgrading infrastructure is a priority.
An innovative initiative known as the Al Ain DNA project was also reviewed. This project seeks to blend history with modernity, reinforcing Al Ain Region's identity as a cultural and tourism hub. It highlights the region's unique character while promoting sustainable growth.
Sheikh Hazza was briefed on proposed projects for 2026 that align with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision. These projects aim to drive comprehensive development across the region, enhancing quality of life for all community members through sustainable initiatives.
During his visit, Sheikh Hazza emphasised the importance of adhering to established plans and timelines for these development projects. He noted that these efforts contribute significantly to regional development, benefiting residents by improving quality of life across key sectors.
The visit included a tour of an exhibition showcasing Al Ain Municipality's history and achievements. The exhibition highlighted major initiatives that have improved municipal services over the years, enhancing their efficiency and quality for the community.
His Highness also reviewed a partial redevelopment project of the municipality’s main building. He met with employees during this tour, praising their dedication to serving the public and encouraging continued innovation in service of Al Ain Region and its residents.
Accompanying Sheikh Hazza were Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei, Director-General of Al Ain City Municipality; Engineer Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre; along with several senior officials from Al Ain Municipality.
