Hazza Bin Zayed Engages With Abu Dhabi Department Of Energy On Al Ain's Infrastructure Development

H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in Al Ain, recently met with a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy. The delegation was led by Dr. Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the department. The meeting took place at the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Ain Region.

During this meeting, H.H. Sheikh Hazza received updates on various projects and development programmes focused on Al Ain’s energy and water sector. These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure efficiency and address the demands of population growth and urban expansion in the region.

Hazza bin Zayed Discusses Energy Projects in Al Ain

The projects discussed include upgrading existing electricity and water transmission networks, enhancing sewage systems for better service quality, and developing natural resource management techniques according to international standards. These efforts are crucial for sustainable development in Al Ain.

H.H. Sheikh Hazza was also briefed on specific initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency. These include converting street lighting to LED systems, equipping mosques with autonomous control systems, and modernising renewable energy infrastructure to increase reliance on sustainable sources.

Sheikh Hazza stressed the importance of ongoing investment in strategic projects that support sustainable development. He highlighted that achieving the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategic Initiative requires fostering innovation and creativity while leveraging advanced technologies in energy and water sectors.

These efforts are designed to drive economic growth, enhance sector efficiency, and align with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision of positioning Abu Dhabi as a global leader in water and energy services.

Collaboration for Clean Energy Transition

H.H. Sheikh Hazza praised the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy and sector companies for their work in implementing projects that support clean energy transition. He emphasised enhancing efficient use of energy, water, and natural resources as key priorities.

He also reaffirmed the importance of strengthening collaboration between government entities and private sectors. Advancing innovative systems and solutions is essential for driving sustainability, serving communities, and meeting evolving needs in the Al Ain Region.
