Hazza Bin Zayed Celebrates Graduation Of UAE University's 45th Cohort In Al Ain
Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the 45th graduation ceremony of United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). The event took place at UAEU’s campus in the Al Ain Region. The ceremony began with the UAE National Anthem, followed by a short film highlighting the students’ academic journey and their aspirations for the future.
The ceremony featured a keynote speech by Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the UAE President and Chancellor of UAEU. He emphasised that this graduation continues a legacy of human development initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He believed investing in people is crucial for the country's prosperity and growth. Nusseibeh highlighted UAEU's role in empowering future generations with knowledge.
During the event, Hamad Al Aryani from the College of Engineering delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates. Additionally, graduates from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences took a medical oath. His Highness Sheikh Hazza congratulated the graduates, their families, and university staff on their achievements. He encouraged them to use their skills and knowledge to serve the nation and contribute to its development.
Sheikh Hazza stressed that developing national talent is essential for future readiness. The graduation of young Emiratis from this leading institution reflects UAE leadership's vision to prepare a knowledgeable generation ready to lead sustainable development. This contributes to building a competitive, knowledge-based economy.
Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh noted that UAEU has become a hub for creativity and innovation, addressing challenges in fields like food security, climate change, energy, and artificial intelligence. With support from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAEU enhances its academic ecosystem to remain a pioneering model serving national interests.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, officials, distinguished guests, graduates' families, and members of UAEU’s academic staff. Nusseibeh concluded by congratulating graduates and their families, wishing them success in their academic and professional journeys.
Cohort Details
This 45th cohort includes 2,430 male and female graduates from various disciplines. Among them are 544 honours students recognised with Distinction during today’s ceremony. The remaining 1,886 graduates will be honoured in two sessions on Saturday, 25 October 2025: one morning session with 948 graduates and an evening session with 938 graduates.
