The event, held at Expo Centre Sharjah with support from the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, runs until 15th January and targets regional and global industrial investors.

During SteelFab 2026, Hamriyah Free Zone Authority presents its role as a key base for iron, steel, welding, and metallurgy companies across the Middle East and Africa. The free zone positions itself as a preferred location for heavy industries, highlighting a large cluster of metalworking businesses already operating from its industrial manufacturing park.

HFZA at SteelFab 2026: Investment Opportunities

The dedicated industrial manufacturing park inside Hamriyah Free Zone currently hosts more than 450 companies active in the steel sector and related fields. These firms occupy around 50 million square feet, equal to 16 percent of the free zone’s total 300 million square feet, underlining the sector’s scale and its contribution to Sharjah’s wider industrial base.

At SteelFab 2026, representatives explain that this concentration of companies supports supply chains for fabrication, welding, and metal processing. It also creates links with regional projects in construction, infrastructure, and manufacturing. Companies also have access to storage yards, cargo handling services, and modern industrial facilities.

The logistics offering promoted at SteelFab 2026 includes end-to-end services intended to support manufacturing and re-export. Hamriyah Free Zone Authority notes that investors benefit from full capital and profit repatriation, competitive infrastructure, and ready-built or customisable units. These features are presented as key factors for companies planning to establish or expand metalworking and heavy industry operations.

SteelFab 2026 platform for Hamriyah Free Zone global outreach

Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority, states that SteelFab 2026 serves as a strategic meeting point for international steel investors and producers. Al Mazrouei explains that the event allows the authority to outline investment options available in specialised heavy industries, especially in iron and steel, which form an important part of Sharjah’s industrial activity.

Al Mazrouei notes that Hamriyah Free Zone offers an integrated business setting that combines a strategic location with advanced infrastructure and modern services. According to Al Mazrouei, this environment supports business expansion and helps strengthen the export performance of companies active in the metalworking sector, both within the region and internationally.

Al Mazrouei adds that Hamriyah Free Zone Authority uses participation in SteelFab 2026 to deepen links with global manufacturers, traders, and equipment suppliers. The authority aims to introduce visiting delegations to the free zone’s investment framework, sector-focused clusters, and regulatory advantages, while encouraging discussions on potential projects in steel and other heavy industries.

Hamriyah Free Zone Authority’s presence at SteelFab 2026 therefore centres on presenting a detailed picture of its industrial manufacturing park, logistics services, and regulatory offerings. By showcasing existing investment levels, infrastructure, and export capabilities, the authority seeks to demonstrate how the free zone supports the growth of the steel and heavy industry segment in Sharjah and the wider region.
