Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Crowns Champion at UAE President's Cup for Purebred Arabians
Under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, a significant event in the world of equestrian sports unfolded at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club Racecourse. The UAE President's Cup for Purebred Arabian Horses, a prestigious competition that saw its 8th gala, was a grand affair attended by notable figures and enthusiasts of the equestrian community.
The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the winner for the main race by H.H. Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This event, which comprised seven races, was graced by the presence of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, alongside other distinguished guests. These included Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society; Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy; Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade; Mohammed Abdullah Al Junaibi, Chairman of Federal Protocol and Strategic Narrative Authority (FPSNA), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club; and Ali Al Shaiba, Director General Of Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club.

The final race of the evening was a spectacle that captivated all attendees. RB Kingmaker from the National Stables emerged victorious in this seventh and concluding race. Under the expert supervision of Hilal Al Alawi and with Richard Mullen as the jockey, RB Kingmaker clinched the title over a challenging distance of 2200 metres. The race not only tested the endurance and speed of the participating horses but also highlighted the skill and strategy employed by their trainers and jockeys. The prize money for this exhilarating race stood at an impressive AED 4.5 million, underscoring the significance and prestige of the event.
