Hamdan Foundation Kicks Off New Awards Cycle For Excellence In Education And Medical Sciences
The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has officially announced the launch of its 2024/2025 educational awards cycle at the local level. This initiative, which is now open for nominations through the Foundation's website, aims to recognize and support excellence and innovation within the realms of education and medicine.
Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, expressed his pride in initiating this new cycle under a motto inspired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which emphasizes the critical role of excellence and innovation in societal development. The awards are designed to identify and nurture talented individuals who are innovative and creative, providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to continue excelling in their fields.

With an expectation of increased participation, the Foundation has conducted awareness campaigns in collaboration with partner institutions to engage more individuals from the educational and medical sectors. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and CEO of the Foundation, highlighted the dedication to developing these awards by introducing new categories and enhancing evaluation tools to align with scientific and technological progress.
The local awards include categories such as the Distinguished Student Award, Distinguished University Student Award, Distinguished Teacher Award, Distinguished Educator Award, Distinguished School Award, and Supporting Education Institutions Award. Nominations are open from March 4, 2024, until September 19, 2024, with detailed application requirements available on the Foundation's website.
Applications will be thoroughly evaluated by panels of judges with extensive qualifications and expertise, adhering to the highest international standards. The previous cycle saw significant engagement, with 198 participants and 40 winners, showcasing the awards' impact on promoting excellence in education and medicine.
