Hamdan Bin Rashid Foundation Spearheads Innovation Week With Educational And Medical Initiatives
The Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences is set to make a significant contribution to the Emirates Innovates 2024 by hosting a range of activities and initiatives from 19th to 22nd February. These efforts are designed to foster creative thinking and innovation trends within the educational and medical sectors. Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, the Secretary-General and CEO of the Foundation, emphasized the alignment of these activities with the broader goals of Emirates Innovates 2024, highlighting the importance of national and societal efforts in elevating innovation and creativity in the UAE to global standards.
Dr. Al Suwaidi revealed that the Foundation is not only focused on enhancing its innovation services but is also proud to operate the first digital manufacturing lab in the UAE, FabLab UAE. This initiative underscores the Foundation's commitment to advancing innovation across various fields. The Innovation Week activities include a specialized training program on mechanical machine manufacturing, conducted in collaboration with the University of Wollongong in Dubai. Additionally, a workshop aimed at Dubai government employees will cover artificial intelligence and its applications in creating innovative projects.

The Secretary-General further highlighted that the Foundation's Innovation Week would delve into numerous innovation and digital manufacturing topics such as programming, design, and artificial intelligence. These activities are part of the broader offerings at FabLab UAE. An exhibition showcasing innovative projects will also take place, aiming to spread and enhance the culture of innovation and manufacturing within society while attracting outstanding and innovative students.
Dr. Al Suwaidi extended an invitation to government and educational institutions to participate in Innovation Week, assuring them of FabLab UAE team's readiness to support the success of this pivotal national initiative.
