Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Visits ADNOC’s Strategic Facilities In Jebel Dhanna To Discuss Energy Security
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, recently toured ADNOC's significant facilities at Jebel Dhanna. The visit included a look at ADNOC’s innovative underground salt dome storage project. This initiative aims to bolster the UAE’s energy security and storage capabilities.
The salt dome project is a first for the region, offering ADNOC advanced infrastructure for hydrocarbon storage. This development enhances the flexibility and resilience of the nation's energy supply chain. Sheikh Hamdan praised ADNOC’s dedication to sustainable growth and technological innovation, especially in Al Dhafra.
Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, welcomed Sheikh Hamdan. Dr. Al Jaber stated, "We are honoured by the visit of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan to our facilities in Jebel Dhanna. His presence reflects the strategic importance of this location and ADNOC’s role in building future-ready infrastructure that supports the UAE’s long-term economic and energy goals."
Sheikh Hamdan was joined by Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, along with several senior officials. The visit highlighted ADNOC's alignment with UAE leadership's vision for a diversified economy powered by advanced industrial capabilities.
During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan commended ADNOC's workforce for their role in reinforcing the UAE as a reliable global energy provider. He acknowledged their efforts towards national development and maintaining a responsible energy sector.
