Hamdan Bin Rashid Foundation Launches Registration For Medical Awards 2025 To Honour Healthcare Excellence

The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has opened registration for its esteemed medical awards. These awards aim to acknowledge remarkable achievements in healthcare both locally and regionally. The initiative is part of the Foundation's commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in the healthcare sector, supporting research and initiatives that enhance services and improve quality of life.

Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, stated, "We are proud to launch a new cycle of Medical Awards, which have become a leading platform for recognising exceptional achievements in healthcare and scientific research. He further mentioned that these awards invite professionals and researchers to join in advancing sustainable healthcare development. Over two decades of success through Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Medical Award strengthen our vision for this edition to build bridges of collaboration among local and regional talents, encouraging them to share their achievements globally.

The Foundation’s Medical Awards are divided into two main categories: Arab World Awards and Local Awards within the UAE. The Arab World Awards include the Arab Award for Research in Healthcare, valued at AED200,000, which is awarded to two winners. This award reflects the Foundation's dedication to promoting impactful research contributions across the Arab world.

Another significant award under this category is the Arab Award in Genetics, valued at AED370,000. It honours scientists and physicians who have advanced understanding of genetic diseases and improved strategies to combat them within the Arab region. This award underscores excellence and innovation in human genetics.

The Local Awards within the UAE focus on emerging talent through recognitions like the Best Research in Healthcare Award. Valued at AED100,000, it targets young professionals by highlighting their contributions to scientific research. Three winners receive this award each year.

Celebrating Innovation in Healthcare

The Innovation in Healthcare Award celebrates projects offering outstanding contributions valued at AED250,000. Two winners are recognised for their innovative efforts that significantly impact healthcare services. Additionally, Emirati nationals making notable contributions are honoured with the Hamdan Award for Distinguished Personalities, valued at AED200,000.
