The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences took part in the 2024 Global Educational Supplies & Solutions (GESS) exhibition at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about various projects and programmes that the foundation has implemented to promote excellence in both medical and educational sectors.
At its booth, the foundation displayed a range of international, regional, and local initiatives. These included innovative educational experiences designed to enhance learning outcomes. A key feature was the "Leaders in Education Conference," where Dr. Khalifa Al-Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, conducted a workshop titled "School Quality: How Do We Achieve It?"

Dr. Al-Suwaidi's session delved into comprehensive school quality standards, focusing on integrating all elements of education. The discussion highlighted the Hamdan Model for Schools, which combines innovation with high educational performance standards. This model aims to foster an inclusive environment that nurtures talent and empowers educators.
The foundation also introduced several pioneering initiatives. Among them is the "Hamdan Talent Rubric," a tool designed to identify and support gifted students using advanced scientific methods. Another significant programme is the "Master of Innovative Education," developed in collaboration with United Arab Emirates University.
This master's programme equips educators with modern skills in innovative teaching practices, preparing them for leadership roles in educational settings. Additionally, "Fab Lab UAE" was showcased as a cutting-edge educational lab that encourages creativity among students and teachers through access to the latest tools and technologies.
Recognition of Excellence
Dr. Al-Suwaidi also spoke about the "Hamdan Educational Awards," which underscore the foundation's commitment to promoting educational excellence across the UAE and Gulf region. These awards honour outstanding contributions from students, teachers, schools, and supporting organisations.
For 16 years, GESS has been a leading platform for educational exchange in the Middle East. It presents new solutions, products, and technologies that advance education in the region. The event continues to be a vital space for sharing knowledge and innovations in education.
The foundation's participation at GESS highlights its dedication to advancing education through innovative models and programmes that support educators and students alike.
