Hamdan Bin Mohammed Praises Emirates Flight Catering For Advancing Dubai’s Aviation Ecosystem

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently visited Emirates Flight Catering at Dubai International Airport. This company is among the largest in-flight catering providers globally, preparing about 250,000 meals daily for flights leaving Dubai. Upon arrival, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan was greeted by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who holds several key positions in Dubai's aviation sector.

During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan examined the company's daily operations that support both Emirates and other international airlines departing from Dubai. He was informed about expansion plans aimed at increasing production and service quality to accommodate growing air traffic and enhance Dubai's status as a global aviation hub.

Shahreyar Nawabi, CEO of Emirates Flight Catering, briefed H.H. Sheikh Hamdan on the company's advanced production facilities and intelligent supply chain systems. The briefing also covered technologies for food preservation and distribution, alongside environmental initiatives focused on waste reduction and sustainability.

Sheikh Hamdan praised Emirates Flight Catering for its pivotal role in Dubai’s aviation success. He highlighted its position as a leading in-flight catering provider and a model of efficient management, strategic growth, and innovation. Since its inception in 2003, Emirates Flight Catering has grown into one of the largest catering companies worldwide. It employs over 14,000 people and serves 498 flights daily. This growth underscores its readiness and adaptability in reinforcing Dubai’s position as a major global air travel hub.

The tour was attended by Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy And Remote Work Applications, along with several senior officials. This visit underscores the importance of Emirates Flight Catering within Dubai’s broader aviation ecosystem.

Sheikh Hamdan noted that Emirates Flight Catering exemplifies effective management and innovation within the aviation industry. Its achievements further solidify Dubai's reputation as a key player in global air travel.
