Hamdan Bin Mohammed Visits ADIHEX 2025 To Highlight Cultural Heritage And Sustainability Efforts

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, recently attended the Abu Dhabi International Hunting & Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX). This event is being held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until 7 September. ADIHEX has grown into a prominent annual gathering in the Middle East and Africa, focusing on hunting, equestrian activities, and cultural heritage preservation.

Spanning 92,000 square metres, the exhibition hosts brands from 68 countries. It stands as the largest global assembly for those passionate about hunting, equestrian pursuits, and heritage. Organised by ADNEC Group with the Emirates Falconers’ Club, ADIHEX underscores the UAE's rich hunting and equestrian traditions. The event serves as a vital platform for industry leaders and enthusiasts to connect and showcase innovations in these fields.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that ADIHEX is more than just a cultural or sporting event. He stated: "ADIHEX is more than a cultural or sporting event; it shows how we preserve our heritage and pass it on to future generations in a modern way that safeguards our identity." The exhibition highlights the UAE's dedication to sustainability while showcasing Emirati youth's creativity.

The exhibition aims to be a model for uniting people globally around sport, environment, and heritage values. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan expressed his desire for ADIHEX to continue reaffirming the UAE’s role as a bridge between past and future, tradition and modernity. This vision reflects the legacy of forefathers while promoting cultural continuity in contemporary settings.

During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan toured several significant pavilions alongside Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and Group CEO of ADNEC Group. They explored key exhibits such as EDGE Group’s Caracal pavilion and Emirates Red Crescent’s Al Ghadeer Crafts pavilion. These visits allowed him to review new products and initiatives presented by both local and international exhibitors.

Sheikh Hamdan also engaged with various participants at the exhibition. He received briefings on essential national initiatives along with cultural activities and heritage projects featured at ADIHEX. This interaction provided insights into how these projects contribute to preserving cultural identity while fostering innovation.

The event not only celebrates traditional practices but also encourages dialogue among experts across hunting, equestrianism, heritage conservation sectors worldwide. By bringing together diverse stakeholders under one roof annually through this exhibition format ensures continued growth within these industries while maintaining respect for historical roots.

This year's edition marks its 22nd iteration as well as being its largest yet—testament not only towards increasing interest but also commitment towards preserving regional customs amidst evolving global landscapes.
