Hamdan Bin Mohammed Reaffirms Leadership Vision For Defence Development During IDEX 2025 Visit
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently attended the 17th International Defence Exhibition (IDEX 2025). This year's event is the largest in its history, with extensive participation from global defence companies and senior military officials. The exhibition serves as a platform for showcasing the latest military solutions and technologies.
During his visit, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the UAE's progress in defence industries, aligning with leadership's vision to develop strategic sectors. He highlighted the importance of enhancing defence preparedness to ensure development efforts continue without disruption, reinforcing the UAE's commitment to peace. Deterrent power was also stressed as essential for maintaining global security and stability.

Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council; Mohamed bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State For Defence Affairs; and Major General Mubarak Saeed bin Gafan Al Jabri.
During his tour, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan visited several pavilions, engaging with both local and international exhibitors. At the Edge Group pavilion, he learned about CARACAL's high-performance small arms products. He also explored Beretta's latest tactical gear and precision scopes, as well as Kalashnikov Group's drones, machine guns, rifles, and ammunition.
The pavilion of NORINCO was another stop on H.H. Sheikh Hamdan's tour. As part of China's significant presence at IDEX this year with 59 companies participating, NORINCO showcased advanced missile defence systems supported by satellites. This highlights China's growing influence in global defence technology.
