Hamdan Bin Mohammed Recognises Winners Of Global Prompt Engineering Championship During Dubai AI Week

The Global Prompt Engineering Championship 2025 winners were celebrated during Dubai AI Week. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, honoured them for their achievements in Art, Video, Gaming, and Coding. The event highlighted the growing importance of prompt engineering as a key skill in the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the transformative impact of AI on creative and technological fields. He stated, "Artificial intelligence is giving rise to entirely new disciplines and professions, one of the most prominent being prompt engineering, which has quickly become a widely sought-after skill. During the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, we witnessed how AI will shape the future of creative and technological sectors."

Sheikh Hamdan also stressed the importance of nurturing talent to drive AI innovation. He remarked, "Shaping the future of AI begins with empowering talent and providing them with the tools and skills to innovate, create, and expand its real-world applications for the benefit of humanity." Dubai's early investment in AI capabilities has positioned it as a leading global hub for AI expertise.

The competition's award ceremony was attended by notable figures including H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Omar Sultan Al Olama. The event underscored Dubai's commitment to fostering an ecosystem that supports AI-driven innovation and development.

The championship recognised outstanding talent from various countries. Abdulrahman Al Marzooqi from the UAE secured first place in Coding. Syrian filmmaker Ibrahim Hajjo won in Video, while Canadian Ibrahim Helmy triumphed in Gaming. Yahya Kaddoura from Palestine excelled in Art.

Held at AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers over two days, the finals showcased exceptional talent from around the world. Winners shared an AED1 million prize pool and gained international recognition alongside industry leaders.

Global Participation and Recognition

This year's championship drew over 3,800 entries from 125 countries. Organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence under the Dubai Future Foundation, it was supported by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy. The event selected 24 finalists from 16 countries to compete live in Dubai.

The intersection of art, reasoning, and AI was a focal point of this competition. Sheikh Hamdan noted that such culture-forward innovation is something Dubai proudly champions.

The event highlighted how AI continues to influence various sectors globally. By investing in AI talent and infrastructure, Dubai aims to remain at the forefront of this technological evolution.
