Hamdan Bin Mohammed Awards Golden Visas To Over 200 Educators In Dubai's E33 Strategy Initiative
Under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has awarded Golden Visas to over 200 distinguished educators from various educational institutions. This initiative, announced on World Teachers’ Day last year, acknowledges the vital role teachers play in shaping future generations and enhancing Dubai's global reputation.
The Golden Visa programme aligns with the Education 33 (E33) Strategy, which aims to empower exceptional educators and attract top global talent. The initiative seeks to make Dubai a premier destination for educators worldwide. By recognising outstanding teachers, Dubai emphasises the value it places on knowledge and service.

Out of 435 applicants in the first round, 223 educators received Golden Visas, accounting for 51% of submissions. The selection criteria focused on professional qualifications, educational contributions, societal impact, and positive feedback from students and parents. Notably, demographic factors like nationality or gender were not considered.
Aisha Miran, Director-General of KHDA, stated that "Teachers are at the heart of every successful education system. The Golden Visa initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to celebrate and elevate the teaching profession." This reflects Dubai’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for educators.
Among the recipients, 157 were from schools, 60 from universities, and six from early childhood centres. Applicants came from diverse backgrounds and roles including leadership positions and support staff like social workers and librarians. Special recognition was given to those with national or international awards or published research.
The second round of applications for Golden Visas is now open. Educators in private early childhood centres, schools, and international higher education institutions in Dubai can apply between 15th October and 15th December 2025.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of educators by stating: "Teachers and educators are the ones who light the way forward. They inspire, guide, and give our children the skills and confidence to succeed." His words underscore the significant impact teachers have beyond classrooms.
This initiative not only celebrates current educators but also aims to make teaching an attractive career path for future generations. By investing in education professionals, Dubai strengthens its position as a global hub for educational excellence.
