Hamdan Bin Mohammed Celebrates Graduation Of Cadets At Dubai Police Academy Ceremony
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, attended a graduation ceremony at the Dubai Police Academy. The event celebrated the 32nd cohort of male cadets and the 5th cohort of female cadets. The ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The ceremony featured a parade where cadets showcased their skills and discipline. They formed a likeness of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to express gratitude for his leadership. This tribute aligned with the announcement of 2025 as the 'Year of the Community’ under the theme 'Hand in Hand,’ promoting societal cohesion.
Brigadier Dr. Sultan Abdul Hamid Al Jamal highlighted the academy's efforts to prepare officers capable of addressing security challenges. He noted that today's graduates contribute to the UAE's success, inspired by H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s leadership, recognising youth as the nation's true wealth.
Lieutenant-General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri congratulated H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other leaders on this occasion. He praised the graduates' impressive parade and tribute to President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasising that 2025 as 'Year of the Community’ reaffirms leadership's commitment to unity.
The Dubai Police Academy has received accreditation from the Commission for Academic Accreditation for three Bachelors programmes, reflecting its commitment to academic excellence. Brigadier Abdulaziz Mohammed Amin stressed field training's importance in preparing cadets for real-life security scenarios, enhancing their ability to handle situations effectively.
Brigadier Badran Al Shamsi congratulated graduates, noting their achievement resulted from combined efforts of all stakeholders. He highlighted the Police Innovation and Leadership Diploma (PIL), which trained security specialists globally, developing strategic leadership skills and promoting security innovation.
The event began with Sheikh Hamdan inspecting graduating cadets after arriving at the academy's grandstand to the national anthem. A recitation from the Holy Quran followed before graduates displayed their capabilities in a crisp formation march.
Sheikh Hamdan awarded medals of excellence to top-performing graduates, congratulating them on their achievements and wishing them success in serving their nation with distinction. The ceremonial handover of the academy flag marked a solemn oath-taking moment by graduates pledging allegiance to UAE laws and national security.

Lt.-Gen. Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri expressed gratitude towards faculty members for providing world-class education while acknowledging families' support throughout graduates' educational journey at Dubai Police Academy.
The PIL programme aims at enhancing participants' professional capabilities according to global security trends while reinforcing UAE’s emphasis on high-standard security education through collaboration with Rochester Institute of Technology involving 54 participants from 39 countries this year alone.
This graduation marks an important milestone in strengthening national security efforts by adding valuable personnel into Dubai Police ranks who are entrusted with maintaining stability amid growing responsibilities within society today more than ever before.
