Hamdan Bin Mohammed Unveils Comprehensive Education Strategy 2033 To Transform Dubai's Learning Landscape
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has endorsed several initiatives to enhance Dubai's leadership across various sectors over the next decade. These plans include the Education Strategy 2033 and the Real Estate Strategy 2033, aiming to boost real estate transactions to AED1 trillion by 2033. Additional plans focus on modernising transport infrastructure, transitioning to a cashless city, and preserving heritage.
The Education Strategy 2033 is crafted to transform Dubai's education system, ensuring high-quality education for all. This strategy aims to build a system that supports Dubai’s aspirations, enhances capacity building, and delivers superior quality. H.H. Sheikh Hamdan stated: "Our strategy for a world-leading education system will foster lifelong learning and equip the next generation of national leaders, grounded in Emirati values and identity, to shape the future."
Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, these strategies align with the Dubai Plan 2033 and Dubai Social Agenda 33. They aim to establish the emirate as a global hub for living, learning, and investment. The education strategy focuses on lifelong learning and adapting to change while nurturing national talents.
The Real Estate Strategy 2033 is designed to support the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 by increasing real estate transactions by 70% and multiplying portfolio values by 20 times to AED20 billion. This strategy aims to contribute AED73 billion to Dubai’s GDP while enhancing investment attractiveness and positioning the city as a diverse economic hub.
The Suspended Transport Systems Project is integral to Dubai’s Smart Mobility Strategy. By 2030, it aims to automate 25% of all trips through a newly approved 65km system connecting Umm Suqeim Street, Al Khor, and Zabeel. This initiative will increase public transport journeys in Dubai to 26% of all trips by 2030.
The Dubai Cashless Strategy seeks to make Dubai one of the top five cashless cities globally by 2033. It aims to increase digital transactions across all sectors, contributing AED8 billion to the economy and ensuring that all businesses in Dubai accept digital payments.
Preserving Heritage and Cultural Identity
The Dubai National Archives Project is managed by the Mohammed bin Rashid Library. It focuses on preserving Dubai's history and heritage according to global standards by documenting government records, achievements, history, and cultural heritage. This project contributes directly to the Dubai 2033 Plan.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that under Sheikh Mohammed’s vision, people are central to development efforts in Dubai. The emirate continues its journey towards becoming a leading destination for living, investment, and lifelong learning while upholding family values and improving life quality.
The Education Strategy involves extensive consultation with over 700 stakeholders including educators and parents across more than 50 sessions involving 290 institutions. It offers diverse pathways for students including internationally accredited vocational institutions aligned with national priorities.
By implementing these strategies over the next decade through various programmes aimed at raising development quality while enhancing transparency using data-driven market forecasting techniques integrated with AI technology within this sector; sustainability remains prioritised alongside balanced community development efforts targeting increased homeownership rates up-to-33 percent.
This comprehensive approach ensures that UAE students remain competitive globally securing places at top universities locally or abroad whilst fostering creativity amongst learners equipped with essential life skills preparing them adequately for future challenges ahead!
