Hamdan Bin Mohammed Commissions Al Emarat Corvette To Enhance UAE Navy's Defence Capabilities
The Al Emarat Corvette (P111), a modern naval vessel, was officially commissioned by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence. This vessel meets top international military standards. The commissioning ceremony was attended by key figures including Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs.
Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the significance of this new warship for the UAE Navy. He stated that it enhances the nation's defensive capabilities and strengthens its ability to protect strategic interests. The induction of this vessel is seen as a major step in safeguarding the country's coastline.
The warship is equipped with innovative panoramic sensors and an advanced security intelligence unit. These systems are designed for efficient data collection and processing. It features cutting-edge sensor systems like radars, electro-optical devices, an electronic warfare suite, and communication antennas.
Sheikh Hamdan praised the national teams involved in designing and developing the warship. He stressed that investing in advanced military technologies boosts the UAE's defence sector on a global scale. Staff Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and Staff Lieutenant General Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, were also present at the ceremony. Their attendance underscored the significance of this event for the UAE's military advancements.
