Hamdan Bin Mohammed Engages With Armenian Defence Minister To Strengthen Bilateral Ties At Dubai Airshow

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, recently held discussions with Suren Papikyan, Armenia's Minister of Defence. This meeting took place during the Dubai Airshow at Dubai World Central, which continues until 21 November. The dialogue focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring avenues for cooperation in defence, technology, and future industries.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that defence collaboration is crucial for fostering global peace and development. He pointed out that stability is a cornerstone for economic growth, investment, and progress across various sectors. His remarks underscored the UAE's commitment to promoting peace through strategic partnerships.

Suren Papikyan expressed Armenia’s gratitude towards the UAE, highlighting the eagerness to explore further collaboration given the expanding economic, cultural, and technological ties between the two countries. He noted that these areas offer significant potential for mutual benefit.

Papikyan remarked that the Dubai Airshow serves as an excellent venue for defence leaders and aerospace experts worldwide to connect and collaborate. He praised the UAE's leading role in fostering cooperation that bolsters regional and global security efforts.

The meeting was attended by several key figures from the UAE government. These included Mohamed bin Mubarak bin Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications; and Major General Khalifa Rashid Al Hamli, Director of the Office of the Minister of Defence.

This gathering highlighted both nations' commitment to advancing their strategic goals through enhanced cooperation in various sectors. The focus remains on leveraging shared interests to promote peace and stability while ensuring readiness for future challenges.
