The Executive Council approved a Digital Resilience Policy to enhance digital leadership comprehensively. This policy supports the Dubai Digital Strategy launched in 2023, which aims to digitalise life in Dubai and strengthen its digital economy. Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that Dubai boasts one of the world's most advanced digital infrastructures.

The policy ensures continuity of digital services by protecting systems and infrastructure while safeguarding vital assets. It introduces structured communication mechanisms and governance frameworks to boost resilience. The approach focuses on preparedness, response, recovery, and transformation to maintain public confidence.

A new planning model for residential areas was introduced to promote sustainable living. This model aligns with the Dubai Urban Plan 2040 by creating vibrant communities that reinforce traditional community clusters or Fareej. It encourages active mobility through shaded walkways connecting service centres to residential areas.

The project includes adding 152 parks across Madinat Latifa and Al Yalayis with a maximum walking distance of 150 metres to each park. Over 33 kilometres of cycling paths will be added alongside central parks featuring diverse activities. Community majlis and wedding halls are also part of this initiative.

Enhancing Quality of Life

The planning model aims to make residential areas more attractive by fostering environments that encourage interaction among residents. In Madinat Latifa, around 11% of the area is allocated for green spaces with interconnected paths for walking and cycling. Facilities include schools, mosques, health clinics, commercial hubs, and more.

In Al Yalayis, a vibrant green corridor links residential areas offering recreational facilities promoting quality of life. Plans cover facilities spread over 1,108 hectares housing 66,000 people with 8,000 residential units planned along with 75 parks.

Strategic Goals for Future Development

The Executive Council reviewed achievements from its 2025 agenda while approving plans for 2026 focused on implementing priorities outlined in Dubai Plan 2033 through economic agendas supporting various sectors like social development infrastructure economy investment entrepreneurship security justice safety public services among others.

This comprehensive approach ensures smooth operations reduces response time optimises availability critical infrastructure maintains public confidence fosters private sector cooperation promotes seamless collaboration swift incident response underlines dedication maintaining uninterrupted digital services fostering enduring trust landscape.
