Grand Mufti Of Saudi Arabia: Hajj Without Permit Violates Religious Duty And Health Rules
Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, has highlighted the necessity for Muslims intending to perform Hajj in 1446 AH to strictly follow official guidelines. He stressed that obtaining an official permit is crucial for participating in the rituals. Performing Hajj without this permit is considered a serious religious infraction, as it violates both the established system and public interest.
The Grand Mufti also urged pilgrims to take health vaccinations recommended by the Ministry of Health. He emphasised that preventing diseases and epidemics is a religious obligation, especially during a time when Muslims from around the world gather. Cooperation with health authorities and adherence to their instructions are vital to ensure everyone's safety.

Al Al-Sheikh warned that ignoring these health guidelines could lead to legal repercussions. Such neglect could undermine the fundamental purposes of Hajj, which include worship, security, and safety. Therefore, he called for full compliance with all health and security measures.
The Grand Mufti made it clear that performing Hajj without a permit not only constitutes a religious sin but also disrupts public order. This act contradicts Islamic law's objectives, which aim to maintain order and prevent chaos while promoting human welfare. Disregarding instructions from Hajj authorities is seen as disobedience to leadership orders.
He praised the efforts of Saudi Arabia's government in facilitating Hajj rituals under King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Their leadership ensures pilgrims' security and safety by providing necessary resources. The Grand Mufti acknowledged their significant contributions to making Hajj a safe experience for all participants.
In conclusion, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh reiterated the importance of following official instructions during Hajj. Compliance with these guidelines ensures a smooth and secure pilgrimage experience while upholding Islamic principles and public welfare.
