Hajj Preparations For 1446 AH: Comprehensive Services And Accessibility Initiatives Announced
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has detailed its extensive preparations for the Hajj season of 1446 AH. The focus is on providing a seamless and peaceful experience for pilgrims, adhering to high standards of organisation and quality. This initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and the directives of the country's leadership.
Accessibility is a priority, with 13 prayer areas designated for people with disabilities. To facilitate movement, there are 22 elevators and 224 escalators within the two holy mosques. Additionally, transportation services have been enhanced with 400 electric carts to assist pilgrims in their rituals.

To ensure comfort during the summer heat, 883 air conditioning units, 244 misting fans, and 3,139 ventilation fans are operational. The atmosphere is further enhanced by 432 aroma diffusers that spread pleasant scents throughout the area. Safety measures include 1,229 emergency equipment units strategically placed to ensure readiness.
Efficient crowd management is achieved through 199 open doors that streamline entry and exit processes. An integrated audio network comprising 8,000 high-quality speakers ensures clear communication across the premises. Furthermore, over 120,309 lighting units illuminate the mosques and their facilities.
The presidency has made informational materials available in 27 languages to cater to the diverse nationalities of pilgrims. This effort supports awareness and education among visitors. The libraries of both holy mosques continue their cultural mission by providing access to digitized rare manuscripts, serving researchers and scholars with a collection of 8,503 items.
These comprehensive efforts underscore a commitment to delivering a safe, organised, and serene Hajj experience for every pilgrim and visitor. The presidency's initiatives reflect a dedication to enhancing both physical accessibility and educational resources for all attendees.
