Hajj Minister Tawfig Al-Rabiah Inspects Arafat's Facilities And Services For Pilgrims
Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah recently inspected various sites within the holy areas. This visit was part of preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH. The focus was on ensuring that camps, facilities, and services are ready before pilgrims move to Arafat. The minister's tour included a thorough evaluation of Arafat’s readiness to accommodate pilgrims.

He also reviewed integrated health, technical, and service equipment to ensure rituals are performed smoothly and safely. A significant project he monitored was the shading and cooling initiative at the Namirah Mosque courtyards.

This project is designed to enhance the environment in Arafat by covering an area of 85,000 square meters with 320 canopies and 350 misting fans. These installations aim to create a comfortable atmosphere for pilgrims. Additionally, 2,000 trees have been planted in the eastern courtyards to increase vegetation cover.
A comprehensive infrastructure has been established to support this project’s sustainable operation. This includes water and electricity networks essential for maintaining the project’s functionality. Such measures are crucial for providing a pleasant experience for pilgrims during their stay in Arafat.
At the end of his tour, Minister Al-Rabiah highlighted the importance of collaboration among all involved entities. He stressed operating according to high standards of operational efficiency to serve pilgrims effectively. His remarks underscored the commitment to implementing directives from wise leadership.
