Hajj Media Hub Launches Second Edition To Enhance Media Coverage During Hajj Season

The Ministry of Media has initiated the second edition of the "Hajj Media Hub," which will run from 5 to 8 Dhu al-Hijjah 1446 AH (June 1–4, 2025). This event is in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Program, a significant part of Saudi Vision 2030. It is a key activity under the Unified Hajj Media Operations Center.

The hub showcases an interactive media exhibition, various studios, and a comprehensive media center. It also includes live broadcast vehicles and a Virtual Press Center (VPC), which operates through an interactive screen and a dedicated team providing continuous updates. Second Edition of Hajj Media Hub Launched

Fifteen government and private entities are participating in this hub. These include the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services, Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, and Saudi Water Authority. The media sector is represented by the Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Broadcasting Authority, General Commission for Media Regulation, and Saudi Center for Government Communication.

The hub aims to create an integrated media environment that supports journalists in their coverage efforts. By using the latest technologies and media platforms, it contributes to innovation in both local and international content during the 1446 AH Hajj season.

This initiative brings together various sectors of the media system to support coverage while enhancing cooperation within an environment rich in interactive technologies. It highlights significant transformations in services provided to pilgrims and showcases key projects at the Two Holy Mosques and holy sites.

The launch follows the success of its first edition, which saw participation from over 2,000 media professionals and visitors. More than 15 public and private entities participated across 11 zones during that edition.

Expected Attendance

The current edition is expected to attract over 5,000 media professionals and visitors from more than 150 media outlets. Participation includes over 15 entities across public and private sectors.

This event underscores its commitment to supporting media coverage by bringing together diverse sectors within one space. It enhances cooperation among them while showcasing technological advancements in media operations.
