Gulfood Grocery Trade 2026 Accelerates Middle East Retail And FMCG Distribution

Grocery retail and wholesale businesses across the Middle East are expanding fast, and organisers of Gulfood 2026 plan to address this shift with Gulfood Grocery Trade, a new platform for grocery, private label and fast-moving consumer goods. The event will run from 26th–30th January 2026 at Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, focusing on supply security, price control and product availability.

Gulfood Grocery Trade is positioned as a commercial hub connecting manufacturers, brand owners, traders, distributors and organised buying groups that want scale and volume-based cooperation. The initiative targets the GCC and nearby markets, where grocery channels increasingly shape food security strategies, long-term sourcing decisions and distribution models for both established and emerging consumer brands.

Gulfood Grocery Trade 2026 Accelerates ME Retail

The Middle East is described as one of the world’s fastest-changing retail regions, driven by urbanisation, population growth and modern store networks. Grocery and FMCG categories sit at the centre of this growth. In the UAE alone, grocery retail generates about US$40 billion each year and records annual growth of roughly 6.5 per cent, underlining the sector’s importance.

Digital channels are adding further momentum. Analysts expect the Middle East’s online grocery market to reach about US$327 billion by 2033, changing how products are sourced, moved and sold across regional supply chains. This trend is pushing retailers and suppliers to seek new partnerships, which Gulfood Grocery Trade aims to support through structured meetings and high-volume sourcing opportunities.

The exhibition will host a wide range of regional manufacturers, processors and trade organisations that together illustrate the scale of the grocery ecosystem. Confirmed participants include Agro Blend, Ajman Chamber, Al Naqeeb, Anabtawi, Biotech, Dairy World, Dubai Industrial City, QNT, Set Al Kel and the Umm Al Qaiwain Chamber, covering packaged foods, dairy, nutrition, ingredients and other value-added grocery products.

International presence at Gulfood Grocery Trade strengthens its role as a sourcing point for Middle Eastern buyers. Pavilions and exhibitors will represent key grocery supply countries such as China, Malaysia, Senegal, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Türkiye and Vietnam. These markets already account for an increasing share of products entering regional retail and wholesale channels.

By bringing together domestic and overseas suppliers under Gulfood Grocery Trade at Gulfood 2026, organisers intend to mirror how grocery trade now underpins the wider food economy. The platform is structured to reflect regional growth in physical and online grocery, while supporting long-term price stability, supply resilience and access to diverse products for GCC and neighbouring markets.
