Saudi Grand Mufti Stresses Need For Hajj Permit And Vaccinations

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, has urged all pilgrims for the year 1445 H to strictly follow security and official guidelines. As Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars and General President of Scholarly Research and Fatwa, he emphasised the importance of obtaining a Hajj permit and receiving the required vaccinations announced by the Ministry of Health.

Sheikh Al Al-Sheikh stated that performing Hajj without a permit is considered a sin and is not permissible. He highlighted that these regulations align with Sharia principles, which aim to enhance interests and prevent harm. "The wise leadership and the State have enacted regulations to facilitate the reception of pilgrims, ensuring their comfort and safety," he said.

He further noted that the Kingdom's government has spared no effort or resources in serving Islam, Muslims, and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. The Grand Mufti stressed that adhering to Hajj regulations is part of obeying the ruler, referencing a verse from the Quran: "Oh you who have believed, obey God and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you."

Al Al-Sheikh encouraged pilgrims to devote their time during Hajj to worship, supplication, and drawing closer to God Almighty. He concluded by praying for the preservation of the land of the Two Holy Mosques and for blessings upon its leadership. He also prayed for the empowerment and assistance of the leadership, successful performance of rituals by pilgrims, acceptance of their worship, forgiveness of their sins, and that the services provided be counted as good deeds for King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince.
