Grand Mosque Gears Up To Welcome Visitors And Worshippers For Ramadan 1445 Hijri

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has announced its readiness to welcome visitors and Umrah performers during the blessed month of Ramadan 1445 Hijri. According to spokesperson Maher Al-Zahrani, significant preparations have been made to ensure a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.

Among the enhancements, over 25,000 new carpets have been laid out across the Grand Mosque and its courtyards to accommodate the influx of worshippers. Additionally, facilities have been upgraded to include 50 places for ablution within the mosque premises and 3,000 toilets in its courtyards, catering to the needs of visitors.

To further ensure the well-being and comfort of the mosque's visitors, Al-Zahrani highlighted that 15,000 Zamzam water containers are strategically distributed around the mosque, providing easy access to the holy water. In a bid to maintain a clean and hygienic environment, a workforce of 4,000 individuals is tasked with washing and disinfecting the Grand Mosque 10 times daily. Moreover, 3,000 liters of air fresheners are utilized to enhance the atmosphere within the mosque, making it more welcoming and pleasant for worshippers.

The authority is also focused on enriching the spiritual journey of its visitors. To this end, organized visits to exhibitions held within the mosque and to the Library of the Grand Mosque are arranged. These initiatives aim to provide an educational and enlightening experience, allowing visitors to gain deeper insights into Islamic history and culture.

These comprehensive preparations underscore the authority's commitment to facilitating a serene and fulfilling Umrah experience during Ramadan.
