GPSSA Joins Forces With Emirates Foundation To Boost Pensioner Welfare In UAE
The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) and the Emirates Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement aims to exchange data and experiences to explore opportunities and programmes that enhance the social and economic stability of pensioners and their families.
The MoU aligns with the UAE government's efforts to understand the needs of Emirati pensioners. It seeks to benefit from their experiences and provide initiatives that improve their lifestyles. This involves developing work-related mechanisms for retired Emiratis, ensuring they remain active in society.

Faras Al Ramahi, Director-General at GPSSA, highlighted that this partnership represents integration and cooperation between government entities. He stated, "GPSSA’s partnership with the Emirates Foundation embodies integration and joint cooperation between government entities to best cater to societal requirements." This initiative is part of the UAE's national priority to develop programs that guarantee a healthy, decent, and stable lifestyle for pensioners.
Ahmed Taleb Al Shamsi, Chief Executive Officer of the Emirates Foundation, confirmed that Emirati pensioners are central to their plans. He mentioned, "The Emirates Foundation considers Emirati pensioners at the heart of their plans as part of the UAE governments directives." The foundation aims to enhance pensioners' quality of life through sustainable social and economic initiatives by building awareness, developing skills, and encouraging knowledge exchange.
The memorandum emphasises data sharing and humanitarian work between both parties. This collaboration aligns with the UAE’s leadership vision to partner, collaborate, and support all societal capabilities. By integrating pensioners into decision-making processes and offering them privileges, the initiative aims to invest in their expertise for community benefit.
This agreement reflects a broader strategy to ensure continuous engagement of retired individuals in society. By providing opportunities that serve the community, it helps maintain a stable lifestyle for pensioners while leveraging their valuable experiences.
The MoU signifies a commitment to long-term social and economic stability for pensioners. Through shared knowledge and collaborative efforts, both organisations aim to create a supportive environment for retirees in the UAE.
