GPSSA Introduces New 10-Year Payment Plan For Merging Service Periods To Support Insured Individuals

The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has introduced a new phase for merging service periods with a 10-year payment plan. This initiative, which began on 3rd November 2025, extends the previous four-year payment period to ten years. The change aims to lower monthly payments for insured individuals, making it easier for them to manage their finances.

Initially announced in September 2025, the first phase allowed those with active requests to adjust their payment schedules over the extended period. Now, all insured individuals can apply for this plan if their monthly installment is at least one-quarter of their contribution salary. This is the legal minimum required for participation.

GPSSA Launches New Payment Plan for Merging Services

Merging service periods helps employees combine past work years with current service. This process aids in meeting pension or gratuity eligibility requirements. It also increases the final pension or gratuity amount by adding more years of service that were previously excluded.

This initiative supports long-term financial stability for insured individuals and their families. By extending the payment plan to ten years, it makes merging service periods more accessible. This empowers individuals to build a more secure future in retirement.

Applications are submitted online through the "Ma’ashi" digital platform. Applicants should first consult the service card and guidance manual before registering using their UAE Pass. After logging in, they must follow the steps and upload necessary documents to complete the application.
