UAE Government Partners With Fujairah To Launch Zero Bureaucracy Programme And Global Star Rating System For Services

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, highlighted the collaboration between the UAE Government and the Government of Fujairah. This partnership aims to implement the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the Global Star Rating System for services. It signifies a significant step in modernising government operations, aligning with leadership directives to enhance service efficiency and improve societal quality of life.

During the launch event, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi stated, "Today, we launched a partnership between the UAE Government and the Government of Fujairah to implement the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme and the Global Star Rating System for Services. We have instructed all entities to focus on improving service quality and providing a simplified experience that makes life easier for people."

The vision of Fujairah's government, guided by H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, emphasises simplifying procedures. People are central to governmental development through integrated efforts and innovative programmes. These initiatives align with societal goals while supporting state competitiveness and future leadership.

The agreement was signed by Sheikh Eng. Mohammed bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Director-General of Fujairah Digital Government, and Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services of the United Arab Emirates Government. This agreement outlines how both governments will apply these programmes to improve service delivery.

This partnership reflects UAE leadership's vision to anticipate future needs by elevating government models according to international standards. The initiative aims at enhancing federal-local integration while promoting outstanding governmental models locally.

Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, attended the launch ceremony where an agreement was signed. This agreement establishes a framework for activating this partnership between the UAE Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and Fujairah's government.

Commitment to Efficient Governance

Mohammed Al Gergawi noted that adopting these programmes is a qualitative addition to UAE's efforts in reimagining service systems. He stressed that this integrated partnership shows a strong commitment towards a more efficient, flexible government model.

The Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme was launched in November 2023 by the UAE Government. It marks a new phase aimed at enhancing efficiency through simplified procedures. The Global Star Rating System for Services began in 2011 and was upgraded in 2019 with new standards.

This collaboration between national and local governments aims to create an efficient service system that meets international standards while focusing on people's needs. By doing so, it seeks to ensure high-quality governance that supports societal aspirations.
