Government Leaders From 14 Nations Engage With UAE’s Advanced Technology And Cybersecurity Initiatives
The UAE recently showcased its expertise in advanced sciences, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity to government leaders from 14 countries. This was part of the "Global Advanced Technology, AI, and Cybersecurity Leadership Programme." Organised by the Government Experience Exchange Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, the programme included visits and workshops aimed at sharing Emirati innovations in these fields.
Abdulla Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, highlighted that advanced technology, AI, and cybersecurity are crucial for governmental development. He noted that these areas are essential for driving change and improving performance and sustainability. The UAE government consistently adopts strategies that leverage these technologies to enhance efficiency.

The programme emphasised several key areas, including cybersecurity technologies designed to protect digital infrastructure. Participants learned about securing digital transformation and explored the UAE's experiences in this domain. The initiative aimed to equip leaders with skills necessary for innovation and future readiness in these vital sectors.
Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, stated that this programme is a significant initiative reflecting the UAE’s commitment to global cybersecurity efforts. He stressed that investing in human resources is fundamental to any advanced digital security system. This approach helps detect threats and enhances readiness against potential risks.
The programme aimed to boost the capabilities of participating government leaders by enhancing their leadership skills and management competencies. It provided them with specialised skills through engaging experiences and success stories from leading Emirati models in advanced technology, AI, and cybersecurity.
The initiative involved knowledge visits to prominent government entities and workshops led by 30 Emirati experts. It hosted 21 participants from countries such as Barbados, South Africa, Lebanon, Azerbaijan, Morocco, Indonesia, Dominican Republic, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Rwanda, Vietnam, Eswatini, Philippines, and Seychelles.
Building Global Partnerships
Lootah also mentioned that the programme aligns with the Government Experience Exchange Office's goal to expand global partnerships in developing government leadership. By building capacities in impactful areas of government work and societal futures, it aims to improve service efficiency for communities worldwide.
This collaborative effort with the UAE Cyber Security Council seeks to empower participants with necessary skills for leading development initiatives. The focus is on enriching their knowledge base while preparing them for future challenges in technology-driven sectors.
The programme reflects the UAE's dedication to fostering international cooperation in protecting digital spaces. By strengthening capabilities against cyber-attacks through a specialised knowledge base, it supports critical infrastructure protection globally.
